
Dominion Voting Systems, which was later renamed Liberty Vote, has reached a settlement over defamation allegations against Mike Lindell and dropped its $1.3 billion lawsuit, the Minnesota Star Tribune reports. Lindell, who is running for Minnesota governor as a Republican, had falsely claimed in 2021 that the company rigged the 2020 election in favor of Joe Biden.

How does the Minnesota DFL plan to win over Greater Minnesota? Perhaps with candidates like Jason Lohmann, who is running for state Senate as a Democrat and spoke with MPR News from his farm in Zumbrota. Of the DFL, Lohmann says, “They literally have ‘Farm-Labor’ in the name, and they have literally forgotten about farmers for the last 20 years,” Lohmann said. “They’ve decided that they’ve had their vote, they don’t need to talk to them. And you hear that from people in the rural areas: ‘You guys don’t want to talk to us. Why should we vote for you?’”
In a viral video post reported by FOX 9, residents in Shakopee appear to be harassing a Somali family who is in the area shopping for houses. A DFL lawmaker representing the area has defended the Somali family, and the couple in the video saying things like “nobody wants you here” and “all you do is steal” has issued a statement through an attorney calling the video a “cyberbullying campaign against an honest, patriotic, kind, and hard-working family.”
Researchers are surveying Twin Cities residents about their local lakes and comparing opinions on water quality with reality, Sahan Journal reports. Signs posted around each of the 17 lakes in the study invite visitors to evaluate the lake’s water quality on a scale of 1 through 10 and then answer some follow-up questions.
Local residents in Crow Wing County are voicing their concerns about the county’s cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), KAXE reports. The county has been housing immigration detainees in its jail since last fall through an agreement with the U.S. Marshals Service.
