An attorney for an ICE agent charged in a February road rage incident during Operation Metro Surge in the Twin Cities says there’s more to the story than what’s shown in a widely circulated video.
Prosecutors allege Gregory Morgan Jr. pointed a handgun at another vehicle on Highway 62 after a traffic dispute.
Defense attorney Ryan Pacyga said Thursday that his client acted during what he described as a “brief, frightening, and highly stressful roadway encounter.”
“It was alarming, and it was during an extraordinarily tense period in our Twin Cities metro area, both for citizens and law enforcement alike,” he said.
Morgan faces two felony counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. Pacyga said Morgan posted a bond and is expected to make a first appearance in court Friday.
