Three people are dead after a crash involving a car and a semitrailer early Tuesday near Interstate 35W in Minneapolis.
Police said four other people were injured in the crash, which left the car wedged beneath the semitrailer near the Southeast Fourth Street bridge over I-35W, just north of the Mississippi River.
All of the people killed or injured in the crash were in the car. The semitrailer driver was not injured. The names of the people involved in the crash have not been released.
The crash happened just after 4 a.m. Minneapolis police said the semitrailer was exiting the freeway and crossing Fourth Street when it was hit by the car.
The crash remains under investigation. Some city streets remained closed in the area as of 8:40 a.m.
