The last time anyone saw Drew McIntyre in a WWE ring was at WrestleMania 42 when he and Jacob Fatu battled in an unsanctioned street fight.
It’s been nearly six months since the match took place. McIntyre has been working on other projects in the meantime, including a micro-drama series called “Agent of Shadows.” He, actor Chase Mattson and other WWE superstars will be in the show, which drops Oct. 23.

OutKick Dropkick asked McIntyre in a recent interview when fans can expect him to return to the ring.
“I’m as big as I’ve ever been. I’m 285, right? And I’m 10 pounds bigger than I was for ‘Agent of Shadows.’ I’m in the best shape of my life,” he said. “I posted myself running the ropes the other day, keeping myself in ring shape. I’m always ready to go. I think it got like over 8 million views, just bouncing off the ropes a few times, across my social media platforms.
“But right now, I’m focused on Hollywood Drew. So, we’ll see. We will see.”
When McIntyre does return to WWE programming, it’s unclear which brand he will land on. McIntyre was on SmackDown when he was feuding with Fatu. He also held the Undisputed WWE Championship briefly before dropping it to Cody Rhodes in March.

WrestleVotes Radio reported that McIntyre may return to Raw when he gets back in action.
Right now, the SmackDown championship picture has a legitimate logjam at the top. Sami Zayn currently holds the Undisputed WWE Championship and has a number of superstars at his door angling for a title shot.
Roman Reigns holds the World Heavyweight Championship on Raw. He dispatched LA Knight at Money in the Bank on Saturday night. Royce Keys may represent his No. 1 contender right now as the 946 faction has battled with The Bloodline for the last month.
Penta is also a wild card for both rosters. He won the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match, which gives him a title opportunity at the time of his choosing.
For now, the WWE Universe awaits McIntyre’s triumphant return.
